DJ Uki

DJ Uki is one of the most sought after Latin DJ in the Singapore scene with growing fans in various Asian countries like Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Hong Kong. He spins a wide selection of Salsa, Bachata, Chacha, Merengue and Zouk, and is known for building the party according to the crowd. He is also the first in the region to pioneer the use of iPad for DJing and has created an identity for Singapore DJs. With connections to international DJs and bands, he brings inspiration to the Salsa scene with good and rare music, including his own edits. Besides spinning at major parties for the past 8 years, he is also an event organizer with the successful Black Mambo DJ Party, happening yearly and growing in popularity across Asia since 2012. The Professor

Güpson Pierre is the proud owner and Artistic Director of Attitude Dance Studio. Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Güpson has performed and choreographed dance performances extensively in Canada, USA, Asia, South America and Europe.
Inspired by his teaching techniques, “The Professor” Güpson Pierre has brought his love of the dance through deejaying as well. His primary objective of deejaying is to educate the worldwide Salsa, ChaCha community on more focus on musicality.
Many (if not all) know of his deejaying style and burn up the dancefloor when he is in the console. If he is coming your way, you are sure to have a great time on the dance floor. Always request a classic Salsa, Mambo and/or Cha-Cha-Cha without forgetting a Kizomba number from this humble deejay name “The Professor”.

DJ Jason

One of the most experienced Salsa DJs in Singapore, having DJ-ed since 2003, Jason has also played to salsa dancers all over the region too much acclaim. As a result, he has been repeatedly invited back to many of the Salsa Festivals that he has been a part of including the prestigious India Fiesta Latina, the Malaysia Salsa Festival, the Kyoto Salsa Candela Spring Festival, the Singapore International Salsa Festival and many others.
Jason's experience as a dancer and performer and his appreciation of the music allows him to pick songs that alternately tease, cajole and challenge salseros to dance, keeping the crowd dancing the whole night long. It is this that has made him one of the most successful and sought after of local salsa djs so much so that when he spins, the local dancers are confident of getting a great selection of music to dance to.

DJ Bosco

DJ Bosco is arguably one of the world’s best Salsa DJ’s.
In Asia DJ Bosco is known as the Salsa Dj’s DJ because many of the other Djs openly admit to coming to hear him play in order to hear the latest hits (by the latest artist) and hard to find originals as his research, understanding and willingness to acquire make him one of the most up to date salsa DJ’s in Asia.
Born and raised in New York City’s Spanish Harlem and being of Puerto Rican decent Dj Bosco cut his teeth on Salsa Music. He was also a member of a New York City street gang known as the ‘Copacetic Dragons’ of which Latin Boogaloo band leader, ‘Joe Bataan’ was a member. His sister was dating an up and coming salsa trombonist known as ‘Johnny Colon’ and Dj bosco was busy lending support to his neighborhood friend George Rodriquez (vibes), Eddie Muniz (percussion) and the late Luis Bonilla (congas) who were starting a group they called ‘The New Swing Sextet’ who recently released a Grammy nominate album.
At the age of twelve Dj Bosco talked his way into a Salsa Sunday afternoon dance hall party at Colgate Gardens by convincing the legendary Barry Rogers (of Eddie Palmieri band fame) to allow him to carry his trombone into the dance hall. From then on he continued the Sunday afternoon event and danced and listened to live performances by such bands as Pacheco, Charlie and Eddie Palmieri, Joe Cuba, Tito Rodriquez, Puente, Machito and many, many more.
Dj Bosco attended the ‘High School of Music and Art’. It was here were he befriended one of the great Latin Jazz Giants and his brother - Jerry and Andy Gonzales of Fort Apache Band fame and who have gone on to play with many of the great bands of the times such as Dizzy Gillespie, Eddie Palmieri’s band, “El Son” and Cojunto Libre.
DJ bosco has played at Singapore’s Union Square Salsa Club, The Upper Club Singapore, Experience Hong Kong, Club 97 Hong Kong, and Ministry of Sound Singapore and has opened for the Joe Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad at the 2006 Singapore International Salsa Festival.
In 2008 he conceived and played the ‘Critics Choice/The Best of 2007’ at Singapore’s Union Square Club on February 1 and at Salsa Havana in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on February 14, 2008.
Owner and director of Club Salsa Havana Martin Reyes (a well known Venezuelan Salsa musician himself) said of Dj Bosco, “Nobody in Asia plays ‘Salsa’ like Dj Bosco”.
DJ Bosco played at the 4th Salsa India festival 2008 in Mumbai India, and the Malaysia World Salsa congress 2008 in Penang Malaysia, where international band leader Gerardo Rosales referred to DJ Bosco as “Swinging”! Other events in 2008 included an appearance at the annual J. J. Salsa Renque bash on Aug. 30, Singapore, as well as a return to Kuala Lumpur’s Salsa Havana club on September 6th. Dj Bosco also opened the Singapore International Salsa Festival on October 24th, 2008.
In 2009 DJ Bosco was the featured Salsa Dj at the Sheraton Hotel’s ‘Chimes’ nightclub on the tropical Island of Langkawi for a two night Salsa weekend this March. In April 2009 Dj bosco played club Zenzi Mills and Club Zenzi Bandra, Mumbai India DJ bosco was also the featured Dj for the Malaysian International Salsa Congress May 1, 2 and 3rd, 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, as well he was also playing the first ever Salsa Samba event on the beautiful Island of Boracay, Philippines on May 8 and 9th 2009 at Club Paraw & Ariel’s house, November 13, 2009 Dj Bosco opened the Singapore International Salsa Congress with a Rocking 90 minute set! Where George Rodriquez leader of ‘The New Swing Sextet acknowledged his 50 year relationship with Dj Bosco and praised his knowledge of Salsa and called him “A Rocking Homeboy from El Barrio”

DJ Lennon plays a wide range of great Latin dance music, mainly Salsa with a sweet mixture of Bachata and Chacha. His spinning style is more into Salsa Dura from 60’s to 70’s.

DJ BJ Chia

He first fell in love with Salsa at the tender age of 18. Upon further exploration of performances and social dancing, he decided to venture into the world of being a DJ. Touted as youngest Salsa DJ in Singapore, he has spun at various socials and international events such as Singapore International Bachata & Latin Festival 2012 and 2013, and recently at Singapore Latin Extravaganza 2014. His favourite mixes of Salsa Vieja to Salsa Gorda (Dura) will keep your grooves going and not forgetting some Bachata Urbana from time to time as well!
DJ Dennis

Dennis is an instructor, performer and choreographer from JJSalsarengue. He has been performing with the main performance team for over 8 years now. He has performed and attended many congresses and most notably, the Singapore International Salsa Festival (SISF), China Salsa Festival and India Fiesta Latin(IFL). For the past 2 years, he has also undertaken the task to train a brand new Junior Team for JJSalsarengue.
While Dennis is not busy strutting his stuff on the social dance floor, he can be found on the decks sharing his collection. Though Dennis don't consider himself much of DJ, but he absolutely enjoy keeping everyone dancing all night. Dennis put on extremely dance-able and sabor-ful tracks, tracks played by a dancer for the dancers.

DJ Nishant

DJ Nishant is one of the upcoming DJs in Singapore. Nishant found his passion for Salsa dancing when he arrived in Singapore and ever since then he fell in love with not only the dance form but the music as well and has spent a significant amount of time and effort in researching on all Latin music to add to his music collection.
DJ Nishant is a new comer to the DJ scene but definitely one to watch out for, having only DJ-ed for a short period of time, DJ Nishant is already gaining popularity in Singapore's salsa scene and has been invited as a guest DJ to numerous salsa events held in Singapore and local clubs.
DJ TJ

Hailing from the unique and challenging background as an Argentine Tango DJ, and further evolving into the Salsa, Bachata & Zouk scene, DJ TJ has kept the feet of dancers grooving since 2009. Drawing from his vast experience of Tango & its delicate rhythms, combining his passion and appreciation for Latin-American music, TJ resonates and understands the cadences and levels of different pieces of music, and is able to cater his style to dancers from every background.
TJ is a happy DJ when dancers are drawn into his world of music, and watching them lose themselves in the moment of fiery-hot passion that is dance.
TJ has received praise for his sets at the highly-acclaimed Inter-Tertiary Salsa Competition in 2014, and has also been engaged by Union Square and several other locally-managed social Salsa & Bachata nights.
DJ Manhattan

DJ Manhattan Known as Ash in the salsa scene in Singapore,DJ Manhattan is not new to the
world of Salsa. With Roots in South America and Asia, born and raised in
Europe and lived in North and South America, he is a welcomed DJ at
congresses and renowned clubs around the world.
His passion for Latin music started in 1999 at a Latin beach festival in the
Netherlands. From this moment on his interest for the Latin music scene kept
on growing to what it is today. Although he was interested in Salsa music, it
was not until the summer of 2005 that he started dancing Salsa. He moved to
New York in the same year and that's where he decided to combine his love for
dancing with his passion for playing music. His talent for DJing did not stay
unnoticed and soon he performed as resident DJ at various clubs throughout
New York.
Over the years he has played at more than 30 congresses, festivals and clubs all
around the world. His repertoire includes the best Mambo, Salsa and Cha Cha
from the 50’s till present time, with a slight accent on the Fania legends.
