ABOUT AZLAN A McKECHNIE
Originally from the United Kingdom, Azlan was introduced to Latin dancing in 2006. Instantly hooked, he has since travelled around the world to learn and teach many forms of dance.

Azlan has been invited to teach and perform in several cities including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cape Town, Sydney, Jakarta, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Osaka. He is also credited with pioneering and growing the Kizomba scene in Kuala Lumpur since 2011.

Known for his humour and high energy, Azlan’s classes are always fun. His ability to break down the technique, allows even the most inexperienced dancers to grasp the fundamentals of the dance, armed with the tools to improve their dancing even after the class has ended.

ABOUT MABEL KOK
Mabel’s passion for dancing started early with her love for latin dances, having completed her gold exam in five latin ballroom dances under the ISTD in 2004. She has performed at international salsa congresses and festivals including the LA Salsa Congress in 2005.

Mabel was introduced to Kizomba by Azlan in April 2015 and has never looked back since. They recently completed an instructors course and private training by Albir Rojas and Sara Panero, and have participated in workshops by Kaem and Marine, Laurent and Adeline, and Isabelle and Felicien, to name a few.

They have taught and performed kizomba at the Penang Salsa Festival, MY/SG Joint Salsa Festival, Hong Kong Sensual Workshop, Afro Latin Invasion Asia, and Osaka International Latin Festival.
