TARRAXINHA (2 hours):

Tarraxinha is the sexy, percussive cousin of Kizomba; the name means “little screw in a bolt”. A close form of dance, it is danced on the spot, and has very little in the way of steps. Tarraxinha is focused on body movement, isolations and two bodies moving as one. Demand has led to Tarraxinha classes becoming quite common at Kizomba and sensual festivals all over Europe.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: SAM & MARINA
Sam Soumo was born in Mexico and grew up in the U.S. & India. He has been attached to Latin Dance for over 10 years but fell in love at first sight with Kizomba.
He was extremely lucky to learn from various international Kizomba instructors such as Nelson Campos (UK), Robert Lewis (AUS), Gilles de Souza – GDS Kizomba (France), Kadu Pires (Brazil) and Ash Od (France). Teaching Kizomba is his passion and he has conducted workshops in Russia, India, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur & Penang), Australia and Thailand. He aims to make each class fun filled, but yet with detailed instructions so everyone can benefit from his lessons.

Sam’s partner, Marina is from Russia and she is a professional latin dancer. Marina has over 3 years of Kizomba Dancing & teaching experience, with over 12 years of Latin & Hip-Hop background. Marina specializes in Ladies Styling & Tarraxa.

SAM the DJ
Music is his passion and his continuous hunger for variety of music makes him unique. He has several years of experience playing in various clubs & parties in genres such as RnB, Hip-hop, Retro, House etc. However, Sam specializes in Latin music and has over 8 years of experience in playing Latin genres such as Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, Reggaeton, Merengue, Latin Pop, Salsa-Cha, Kuduro and Afro House.
He has earned International experience playing in U.S., Australia, Russia, Thailand, India, Singapore and his present home Malaysia.
Sam was also invited as DJ for various Latin Festivals such as “Salsa-Lah” “Salsa Paradiso” “Silent Disco – Latino Style” “Penang Salsa Fiesta” “The RED Afro-Latin Party” “Merry Kiz-Mas” and many more.
Currently he is the Resident DJ at HAVANA, KL and guest DJ in other Clubs in Malaysia such as Via Pre (Penang), Zero 11 (KL), LOCO, Casbah, Chandelier etc.
